Transforming the central valley
one route at a time
Introducing the OK Produce Lean, Green Produce Machine project. With zero-emission regional freight transport at its heart, the project is helping move the San Joaquin Valley toward cleaner air and healthier communities.
A Valley Partnership Driving Change
In partnership with the Valley Air District, Fresno-based, family-owned and operated OK Produce (OKP) is deploying over 50 fully electric Class 8 semi-trucks on its produce delivery routes in the San Joaquin Valley of California. This effort represents the electrification of 65% of the OKP fleet.

Small business,
big impact
Small business doesn’t mean small impact. OKP is a local, family-owned business with 75 years of operation in the San Joaquin Valley. The project demonstrates how mid-sized regional fleets can transition to zero-emission operations, making meaningful contributions to cleaner air for the community without sacrificing efficiency, economy, or reliability.
Keep an eye out for brand-new battery electric Volvo VNR and Tesla semi-trucks with OKP’s signature produce puns on the sides. By June 2027, the majority of the healthy food OKP delivers to the Valley will be transported in the cleanest possible way for its customers and community.
A Roadmap For
Fellow Fleets
The OK Produce Lean, Green Produce Machine project is a scalable model for small-to mid-sized fleet electrification. OKP and the Valley Air District are committed to sharing lessons learned and best practices with other fleets, businesses, and communities interested in a guiding example to follow toward a healthier, more sustainable future.
